Governor says May 15th. Sorry everyone, not what we wanted to hear. So now…..we wait.

From the Michigan Dental Association website:

“Governor Extends Stay Home Order Until May 15, 2020 | Executive Order No. 2020-59
Today, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer issued Executive Order 2020-59, which extends the stay at home order until May 15, 2020.

This Executive Order does not alter the previously issued Executive Order 2020-17. Executive Order 2020-17 restricts all health providers, including dentists, to performing only essential services. Executive Order 2020-17 expires at the same time as the emergency declaration. It is unknown at this time when the emergency declaration will end. What does all this mean? The answer is nothing has changed for dental practices.

Dentists are limited to only providing emergency/essential services

until at least May 15, 2020.”

The Michigan Dental Association is trying to appeal.

For now, Mead Family Dental office is closed,

with the exception of emergencies (for patients of record), until further notice.
